We deserve elected officials who will represent our interests, not their own.

From the St. Louis Post Dispatch – August 12, 2015

University City “was long considered one of the region’s most progressive, diverse and enviable communities…

…those days are gone. A clique of four city council members and the mayor, who’s a voting member of the council, along with Lehman Walker, the city manager, last week approved a controversial contract to outsource University City’s ambulance services to a private contractor.”

“Their minds were made up before the council meeting began. Who knows what kind of private conversations took place to grease the vote?”

The mayor and the group that controls the council refused requests “to conduct a proper public hearing on the issue.”

“Entertaining? Maybe. Good government? Hardly.”
