Many of our city streets are in dire need of repair.  UCity’s Council Clique tried to convince citizens this spring that our streets were in disrepair because of previous administrations, but in reality, City Manager Lehman Walker spent near record lows repairing our streets while touting record surplus budgets.  Rather than budget for our street repairs in a responsible manner, the city starved critical street maintenance budget in order to claim they had restored financial responsibility.  In reality, the cuts to street maintenance were not sustainable, and our roads deteriorated more quickly.
